“I can’t imagine how my world would have changed if Out in Schools had been there when I was in high school.”
Year after year, we hear you say it. Because almost all of us lived it: the isolation, the belief it wasn’t possible to be out and proud, the fear of being ostracized from our community and loved ones.
Out in Schools changes that. Isolation becomes connection. The closet becomes a bridge towards a bright future where LGBTQ youth take their first steps towards engaging in dialogue with their community and loved ones about their authentic selves.
More young people in BC need us to help show them the way – to build those bridges.
We need your support to continue to provide essential LGBTQ programming that fills current curriculum gaps as well as foster more lasting change in schools and school districts across the province.
We wouldn’t have made it this far without visionary philanthropists like you. We can’t make it to our next level without you.
